Published tests of the R36S Plus, released in April 2025, show a 4-inch square IPS screen at 720 x 720. The supplier sheet we have still lists a 3.5-inch 640 x 480 panel, so we confirm the screen of our batch in writing before it goes on sale.
The box may say R36Plus while the label and the boot screen say R36S Plus: it is the same device. Inside is the RK3326 chip with 1 GB of RAM, like the R36S, so the Plus adds Wi-Fi, not speed.

R36S Plus: good questions
Does the R36S Plus have Wi-Fi?
Yes. Wi-Fi is built in, 2.4 GHz only, with no dongle, so the OTG port stays free. Depending on the installed system, it fetches cover art for your games, runs system updates and moves files from a computer on the same network. It does not bring online play or Bluetooth.
Is the R36S Plus screen 3.5 or 4 inches?
Published tests show a 4-inch square screen at 720 x 720, while the supplier sheet still lists 3.5 inches at 640 x 480. We confirm the screen of our batch in writing before we sell it, and this page will say which one it is.
Is a charger included?
No wall charger is announced. A USB-C cable is supplied; charge through the port marked DC with a 5 V adapter rated for at least 1.5 A.
Can I replace the battery?
Yes, it sits behind a hatch on the back. The capacity is 3,000 to 3,200 mAh depending on the batch; the exact value is printed under the hatch and on the label.
